NEMA Sends Team to Evaluate Bandit Attack in Kwara

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has dispatched a team to assess the situation and coordinate relief efforts in response to a recent bandit attack on Woro and Nuku communities in Kwara State.

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has deployed a response team to assess and coordinate intervention activities following the recent bandit attack on Woro and Nuku communities in the Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State.

In an announcement made by Manzo Ezekiel, the Head of the Media Unit, NEMA’s Director-General, Mrs. Zubaida Umar, instructed the team from the Agency's Minna Operations Office—which oversees Kwara State—to temporarily move to the impacted areas. Their mission is to carry out a comprehensive on-site evaluation of the circumstances and the needs of the affected communities.

According to the announcement, the assessment is taking place in collaboration with the Kwara State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) and relevant security agencies, ensuring a thorough and coordinated response.

Mrs. Umar confirmed that the Agency has also arranged for relief supplies, including food and non-food items, which are already positioned to assist the victims in these communities.
