Prof. Mohammed Isa Kida, who has recently taken on the role of Vice-Chancellor at the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), has issued a caution to university personnel to not interpret his humility as a sign of weakness.
During his inaugural speech, marking the beginning of his tenure as the fourth Vice-Chancellor of the institution, Kida made this statement.
In outlining his administration's goals, he committed to continuing the positive initiatives initiated by his predecessor, Prof. Shehu Abdul Rahman.
He expressed confidence that his administration would build upon the solid foundation laid by Abdul Rahman and further the progress that has been achieved.
As a professor of accounting, Kida underscored the necessity for a collective effort and shared responsibility in fulfilling the mission of the university.
He called on all stakeholders, including academic and non-teaching staff as well as students and governing bodies, to cooperate with his administration.
Kida highlighted that attaining institutional stability and academic excellence demands dedication and discipline from everyone involved. He appealed for support and understanding to ensure the success of his administration.
