Nicki Minaj has openly declared her allegiance to President Donald Trump, referring to herself as his 'No. 1 fan' and promising not to let him be intimidated by critics.

The rapper made these statements on Wednesday during a U.S. Treasury event in Washington, D.C., which marked the anticipated introduction of government- backed investment accounts for children, called 'Trump accounts'. She addressed the audience, defending the president against what she labeled as smear campaigns.

'I am probably the president’s No. 1 fan, and that’s not going to change,' Minaj stated. 'The hate or what people have to say, it does not affect me at all. It actually motivates me to support him more.'

Furthermore, she reassured Trump's supporters that they would persist in their backing despite widespread criticism. 'We’re not going to let them get away with bullying him and, you know, the smear campaigns. It’s not going to work,' she emphasized. 'He has a lot of force behind him, and God is protecting him.'

Minaj's remarks coincided with the unveiling of the investment initiative named 'Trump accounts'. Under this pilot program, the federal government will deposit $1,000 into an investment account for every qualifying child born between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2028.

The scheme aims to offer early financial assistance for children through long- term investment products supported by the federal government.

In a significant shift from her earlier stance, Minaj also committed to providing financial backing for the initiative. While previously stating in 2020 that she would not support Trump, she has now pledged between $150,000 and $300,000 to help fund these new accounts.

Her involvement and comments indicate a growing partnership with the Trump administration, as she leverages her platform to defend the president and promote policies aimed at enhancing youth financial inclusion.
