A Nigerian man who is the father of five daughters recently welcomed a set of twin boys, reversing the disdain he faced from those who criticized him for not having a male heir. This joyful event was brought to light by Emmanuel Eze-Chukwu, an employee of the father, during a church dedication ceremony that took place last Sunday in Awka, Anambra State.

Emmanuel revealed that the father had long been the target of mockery for his all-female brood, with comments insinuating that his wealth was meaningless without a son to inherit it and uphold his legacy.

Further, Emmanuel mentioned that some acquaintances had suggested the man should seek another wife capable of bearing male children. However, fortune smiled upon him when his wife gave birth to twin boys in October 2025.

“My boss married in February 2011. By 2020, he and his wife had six children but tragically lost one,” he shared.

As the only son in his family, this Igbo man felt the cultural pressure to have a son who would carry on his family name.

He has amassed considerable wealth, owning numerous properties - over 40 plots in his hometown alone, acquired through purchase or inheritance. Last year, he started constructing a grand house in his village, leading many to speculate about the purpose behind such an investment with only daughters at home.

Some onlookers questioned the necessity of building homes under an arrangement that they deemed suited for a male heir. Additionally, he found himself under pressure from friends who suggested that finding a second wife could ensure a male progeny.

This dilemma undoubtedly weighed heavily on him, prompting concerns that his wife might fear he would take a mistress solely for the purpose of fathering a son.

During social gatherings, he often felt overshadowed, with instances where he was belittled for speaking in the presence of men because he had no son.

On October 12 of last year, however, divine intervention proved that human assumptions do not align with God's plans, as the father was blessed with twin boys.

This blessing prompted a gathering at St. Patrick's Cathedral in Awka, where friends and family came together to express gratitude for the gift bestowed upon the family. "Praise the Lord," Emmanuel declared joyfully.
