In a shocking revelation, Amy George, a Nigerian woman, reported that her house help was filmed introducing a toxic substance into her family's cooking pot. This occurrence transpired merely eight days after the aide began her role.

Amy recounted the unsettling details on her Facebook page on March 26, 2026. Asserting that the house help was not in her right mind, she confronted the girl who claimed that the added substance wasn't meant to harm, but was referred to as 'talk and do.'

The young lady further mentioned that the item was given to her by her uncle, intended to influence the family to follow her commands.

In her Facebook account, Amy detailed the instance, stating: “Yes, a house help once poisoned my family. I got my first house help when I gave birth to my daughter. Eight days after her employment, she poisoned our food. I left the food cooking while I went to the sitting room for some rest.”

She continued, “My partner noticed something suspicious via the camera and alerted me. I approached the kitchen quietly and saw her trying to cover the pot. Acting nonchalant, I walked inside, removed the food, and asked her to have some.”

Amy also described how the house help, named Dorcas and aged between 20 and 23, was recommended by her aunt. When questioned about her actions, Dorcas insisted that she wasn’t using poison but rather practicing 'talk and do,' as suggested by her uncle to ensure compliance from the family.

Reflecting on the stressful event, Amy highlighted, “A family friend assisted us during this troubling period. It took a while for us to recover from the aftermath of this experience. She offered consistent support for my daughter until we were able to move past that trauma.”
