Francisca Ezinne Nwaigwe Uchegbu, a Nigerian woman, has proudly announced the birth of her first child after five years of marriage with her husband.
In a heartfelt Facebook update on Friday, February 27, 2026, she shared the challenges she faced, revealing that people had urged her husband to marry again, hoping to have children.
Interestingly, she disclosed that she herself had suggested to her husband the possibility of taking a second wife, but he strongly opposed the idea.
"The barren woman has finally put to bed after five years in marriage. Chai, this God is full of surprises," she expressed.
She continued, stating, "Those who mocked me for my childlessness are now filled with shame. God is indeed merciful; I am a remarkable story."
Describing a tender moment, she said, "This is my husband carrying our son after my cesarean section. He stayed in the hospital for five days just gazing at Samuel’s face with immense joy. This is the man who stood by me for five years, awaiting the arrival of our son."
Francisca also recounted how some advisers approached her husband at work, recommending he take another wife for children, but he stood firm, declaring he would wait on divine timing.
"One night, I suggested to him that if it came down to it, we could adopt a child if he chose to marry again, but he firmly said NO," she added. "God saw his sincerity and blessed us with our son. For the rest of our lives, I must learn to be understanding of him as he has proven his commitment and loyalty."
She concluded, "I am indeed a beautiful story."
