This appeal was made on Thursday, February 19, 2026, after her cousin, who was only 33 years old, tragically succumbed to the disease.

Ofon was noted to be a senior accounting officer, having completed her BSc at Madonna University and pursued additional qualifications like MSc and ICAN.

Enjoying a moment of remembrance for Ofon

"An only child to a sick retired widow. Many inheritance was left to her by her late father as the only child," she reflected on her cousin's loss.

"Yet she closed her eyes forever. I have not witnessed that much grief, sorrow, and anguish like during her funeral. It looked like a scene from a Nollywood horror movie. Rest in peace, Ofon."
