President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has urged Nigerians to maintain a spirit of gratitude, acknowledging the difficulties brought on by the recent surge in petrol pump prices. He stated that while he understands the economic pressures Nigerians are experiencing, they should also be thankful that their circumstances are not as dire as those in other African nations, citing Kenya as an example.
President Tinubu remarked, "It is very important that we are honest with our people. Yes, I hear you from various angles of the economy. The fuel price is biting hard, but look around, let us thank God together, that you are better off. Listen at them in Kenya and other African countries and what they are going through. We will not look back. We will continue to find a way to ameliorate the sufferings of the vulnerable."
