Actress Nkechi Blessing recently raised concerns over what she refers to as intense harassment, claiming that her WhatsApp has been inundated with requests from thousands of men interested in pursuing a relationship or marriage.
In an emotional revelation, the actress shared that she has received more than 5,000 messages on WhatsApp, with many men acquiring her contact details through Facebook. She explained that she wakes up each day to numerous inquiries about her relationship status, marriage proposals, and introductions that include details like their age and home state.
Nkechi expressed that she has made several attempts to safeguard her privacy, even trying to change her contact number on Facebook, but these efforts have not been successful. She disclosed that the number being inundated with messages is one she cannot modify, which has led to feelings of exhaustion and being overwhelmed.
The actress emphasized that, while she is currently single, she is not actively looking for a partner and does not equate her identity with being in a relationship. She also stated that she will not be pressured into anything by insults or negative comments.
"Over 5,000 men cannot simultaneously marry me," she remarked, noting that the continuous influx of messages has disrupted her peace and turned her WhatsApp into chaos.
Nkechi Blessing appealed for assistance from anyone knowledgeable about how to shield her contact number on Facebook, describing the situation as too burdensome for her to cope with alone.
