North West has made a significant move in her budding music career by securing a record deal with Gamma.
As reported by Rolling Stone, the 12-year-old daughter of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian has officially signed with the independent music label founded by Larry Jackson, a former executive at Apple. This is the same company that her father is collaborating with for his upcoming twelfth studio album, titled 'Bully.'
The announcement follows the recent launch of North’s latest single, 'Piercing on My Hand,' which is distributed under the North West/Gamma label according to various streaming platforms.
The track, released on February 6, serves as both a stylistic statement and a reaction to the buzz surrounding her unique fashion sense. The release coincided with her sharing a photo that displayed multiple dermal piercings on her hands, which sparked discussions online once again.
In the song, North raps, "Shopping in Japan, that’s where I always stand/ Went to school two days, then I got banned." This marks her debut performance of the track, co-produced by her father Kanye and Will Frenchman, which she showcased in January during a concert attended by 40,000 fans in Mexico City.
