A woman from the Northern region has voiced her concerns after a disturbance occurred in Abuja, where a group of individuals reportedly caused unrest.
In a recorded message, she urged Fulani elites across Nigeria to take a more active role in fostering education and creating opportunities for their communities.
She highlighted the potential influence they possess, asserting that more could be accomplished to enhance conditions and avert such incidents from happening in the future.
The woman recounted an experience at a shopping center in Lugbe, Abuja, where she observed Fulani individuals attempting to gain entry wielding a cutlass, only to be halted by security personnel, which heightened the tension in the area.
The situation intensified, leading to altercations that involved items being thrown, prompting a police intervention.
Additionally, she emphasized the importance of those in leadership positions to embrace accountability and tackle the root causes of these challenges.
