Ojy Okpe, the well-known anchor from ARISE News, has experienced the loss of her father, Chief Matthew Egwuenu, who served as a retired Commissioner of Police.
The family of Chief Barrister Matthew Egwuenu from Ukwuani Local Government Area in Delta State announced his passing with great sadness.
Chief Matthew Egwuenu left this world on February 6th, 2026, at the age of 80, leaving behind a rich legacy that positively impacted many lives.
He was a man of great respect, dedicated service, and strong integrity. Chief Egwuenu's life was characterized by his commitment to his duties, immense love for his family, and steadfast commitment to leadership and discipline. His kindness, wisdom, and strength will remain in the memories of all who had the honor of knowing him.
He is survived by his son, five daughters including Ojy Okpe, as well as grandchildren and a wide circle of relatives who will continue to honor his exemplary legacy.
