Oyebamiji Promises Inclusive Governance as APC Gains PDP Defectors Ahead of Osun Elections

Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate for Osun State, has asserted that his administration will foster an inclusive decision-making environment. He emphasized that every opinion will be valued and all contributions recognized when he assumes office as governor.

The Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, CON, further echoed that every effort will be made to ensure APC returns to power by the upcoming August 8 elections.

Additionally, newly defected lawmakers from the National Assembly have expressed their confidence in contributing to the party's successes in future elections.

Prominent members of the PDP who transitioned to the APC include Senator Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi, representing Osun East; Senator Olubiyi Ajagunla of Osun Central; Hon. Oluwole Oke and Hon. Sanya Ominrin, representing Ijesa- North and Ijesa-South Federal Constituencies, respectively; and Hon. Taofeek Ajilesoro from Ife Federal Constituency, among other notable political figures.

During a recent event in Osogbo, held to endorse President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term, Oyebamiji praised the defectors for their brave decision to join the APC. He highlighted the importance of collaboration, stating, "In unity and mutual respect, we will achieve victory for progressives and restore Osun to its rightful place as a model of good governance and sustainable development."

"I am filled with joy as we begin counting down to the establishment of a truly people-oriented government in Osun—one that will genuinely serve its citizens and foster equitable development across the state."

He commended the defectors, remarking, "Your choice to align with the progressive camp at this pivotal moment in our state's history is not only a bold move but also timely. This act signals your true commitment to the people of Osun. It demonstrates that you are willing to make sacrifices for the greater good."

Preparing for the 2026 and 2027 elections, Oyebamiji noted that the newcomers fortify the party's resolve and expand its base, bringing in necessary experience and grassroots ties to ensure success for the people of Osun.
