Orowole Samuel Kolapo, widely recognized as Kola Onifoto, has died at the age of 35. The news of his passing on March 2 comes as a shock, particularly as it follows a motorcycle accident.

Just a day prior, on March 1, Kola Onifoto had taken to Facebook to share his enthusiasm for his upcoming solo motorcycle trip from Lagos to Akure. This post marked his final public update.

Tragically, news emerged hours after his announcement that he had been involved in a collision. Initially, he was reported to be in the emergency unit of the FRSC facility at 7UP, Ojota, Lagos. Friends provided updates on Facebook, indicating he was later transferred to LUTH and appealing for prayers.

Despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries on March 2.

This incident casts a somber shadow over his recent declaration of achieving a lifelong ambition. On January 15, Kola had celebrated becoming a biker, sharing a picture with his new motorcycle and writing, "I recently became a new biker. One of my life dreams clocked and achieved! I won't fall and die on this -Amen!"

Beyond his passion for photography and motorcycling, Kola Onifoto was also known for his work as an Uber driver, a naval officer, and a writer. Friends and colleagues have been sharing tributes on social media platforms like Facebook and X, mourning his untimely demise.
