An unidentified pilgrim has been taken into custody for allegedly attempting to kill his sick father in Medinah, with the aim of securing a place for him in paradise.
The incident occurred in the Prophet’s Mosque in Medina, Saudi Arabia, where the pilgrim was observed trying to strangle his ailing father.
During questioning, the suspect claimed to the authorities that he believed if his father passed away in the holy mosque, it would guarantee him a spot in paradise.
Following his confession, the police arrested the pilgrim and placed him under detention for further investigation.
