The prison officer who found Jeffrey Epstein’s deceased body in his incarceration cell had reportedly googled the billionaire pedophile just moments before discovering him dead while delivering his breakfast.
Tova Noel was among two employees at the Metropolitan Correction Center in New York who faced criminal charges for falsifying records indicating that they had monitored Epstein the previous night before he died.
Recently released records disclose that Noel received a mysterious payment days ahead of the disgraced financier's death by suicide in his cell.
On the evening she was required to check on Epstein every half hour, 37-year- old Noel allegedly dozed off, browsed furniture online, and even searched for information on Epstein's situation in jail, doing so less than one hour prior to the sex offender’s apparent suicide in August 2019.
Her search history unveiled that she looked for the latest news on Epstein while also clicking on a report concerning documents related to him and Ghislaine Maxwell. Additionally, she sought updates on Omar Amanat, a film producer who was imprisoned alongside Epstein at the time of his death.
Noel's colleague, Michael Thomas, spent his night shift shopping for motorbikes. Suggested charges against both prison staff members were dismissed following their agreement to perform 100 hours of community service and assist with a Department of Justice review.
During a DOJ inquiry in 2021, Noel stated that she had no memory of searching for Epstein that night.
Nevertheless, documents indicate that this prison officer received a series of seven cash payments from December 2018 totaling over $11,000. Reports from Chase Bank flagged a total of 12 transactions from April of that year as
