Qatar has stated that military and security personnel from the Iranian embassy in Doha, along with their staff, are now considered persona non grata.

The Qatari foreign ministry conveyed this message in a statement released on Wednesday evening, emphasizing that the Iranian officials must vacate the country within 24 hours, as reported by Al Jazeera.

This decisive move by Qatar stems from ongoing Iranian aggression against the nation, particularly recent assaults that have been directed at Qatar's vital gas infrastructure.

PREMIUM TIMES has highlighted that the latest of these Iranian offensives targeted Qatar's largest gas field. According to reports, the Ras Laffan Industrial City was struck by missiles that ignited widespread fires and inflicted significant damage.

The area had been evacuated prior to the attacks after Iran issued threats to target this facility and others in the Middle East in retaliation for previous Israeli and American military actions against its gas fields.

Additionally, Iran has also been known to strike American interests within the Gulf since the US and Israel initiated an unprovoked attack on Iranian territories.

Further details will follow as the situation develops.
