On Thursday, January 19, Queen Camilla participated in her royal duties just hours following the arrest of her brother-in-law, Prince Andrew.

The Queen was seen departing from Sinfonia Smith Square Hall in London, where she holds the role of patron. During this event, she interacted with musicians and attended a concert as part of her scheduled responsibilities. Reports indicate that when asked about Andrew's arrest, Camilla chose not to elaborate.

Earlier that same day, Prince Andrew was taken into custody by officers from Thames Valley Police at his residence, facing allegations of misconduct in public office. This incident occurred on his 66th birthday and comes in the wake of demands from an anti-monarchy group urging authorities to investigate claims that he had shared confidential British financial documents with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein back in 2010.

Later that day, King Charles III released a statement regarding the incident, emphasizing that the situation should be dealt with through the appropriate legal channels. However, while attending a different public engagement, the King did not address questions from the press concerning his brother's apprehension.

Prince Andrew has been under scrutiny for years due to his ties with Epstein, who has been accused of sexually exploiting underage girls. His name is included in documents referred to as the Epstein Files, which were made public by the US Department of Justice following a law that mandated their release.

The police have confirmed that the arrest of Andrew was based on suspicions of misconduct in public office. He has consistently denied any wrongdoing related to his past relationships.
