A man recounted his journey of marriage on X, discussing the challenges and dedication involved in 17 years of partnership. He revealed that he was unemployed until just 10 months prior to their wedding and had been living with friends in Ogun State House, Abuja.
Initially, the couple lived in his wife’s apartment located on Sapele Road in Benin, where he handled all subsequent rent payments until they managed to construct their own house in Ilorin.
He mentioned that even during times when he was without a job, his wife provided for them for four months without him needing to ask for help.
His advice to others is to choose a partner who truly cares about them and to commit to treating that partner well, emphasizing that dedication and mutual support are essential for maintaining a strong marriage in the face of difficulties.
