Remo Stars Football Club has announced that Usman Abd’Allah will be taking on the role of Technical Adviser for the team.

The NPFL champions revealed Abd’Allah's appointment on their official website on Thursday.

"We are happy to share that Usman Abd’Allah has been appointed as the Technical Adviser of Remo Stars."

The club expressed optimism regarding this strategic appointment, stating, "This role is effective immediately and represents a key advancement in our objective to enhance the club's performance."

Currently, the club is facing challenges in the NPFL, sitting at the bottom of the league standings. Previously, they were led by coach Daniel Ogunmodede, who also serves as an assistant coach for Nigeria’s Super Eagles.

Despite the prolonged absence of updates regarding Ogunmodede’s position with the team, the club refuted rumors of his termination, leaving his future role ambiguous following Abd’Allah's entry.

Remo Stars highlighted Abd’Allah's extensive experience, particularly noting his prior tenure as Technical Adviser for Enyimba and his time with Kano Pillars. The club anticipates that his immediate influence will help steer Remo Stars away from relegation.

"Usman Abd’Allah brings invaluable international exposure alongside a rich understanding of Nigerian football, positioning him effectively to guide the Sky Blue Stars."

"We are looking forward to exciting times under Abd’Allah’s leadership."

The club has had a tough run lately, failing to secure a win in the last seven outings, with only one victory across their last eleven league matches. With just 27 points from 27 games, they are currently six points adrift of safety.
