Riley Green suffered an injury while performing on stage when a frustrated fan hurled a phone at him.
A video shared on social media captured the moment when the country artist was performing at the Margaret Court Arena in Melbourne, Australia, and a phone was abruptly thrown from the audience, hitting him in the ear.
In reaction to the shocking incident, Green halted the performance and requested his team to illuminate the venue in an attempt to locate the individual responsible. With assistance from the audience, he identified the culprit and had them escorted out of the concert.
"This one right here? Get his fat a** out of here. Go on," Green exclaimed.
Once the fan was removed from the arena, Green, who was initially unaware of his own injury, expressed gratitude to his fans for their presence. "I’d like to take a moment while I’ve got everybody’s attention to thank each and every one of you for coming out tonight. Hang on, am I bleeding? Y'all see how tough I am? Thank God he didn't have an iPhone 12; that would have really hurt," he added.
Following the event, Green updated his followers on social media, revealing that he received five stitches for the injury with a post on his Instagram Stories that included a photo of the wound.
"5 stitches later… sewn up," he wrote.
