A manhunt is currently underway for a suspected murderer alleged to have shot and killed three individuals, including his pregnant ex-partner.

Police in New South Wales, Australia are searching for Julian Ingram, also known as Pierpoint, aged 37, following the troubling incident in Lake Cargelligo on January 22, 2026.

Authorities have confirmed that Ingram was previously out on bail for domestic violence offenses prior to the shooting.

Victims identified are Sophie Quinn, aged 24, and her partner, John Harris, aged 32, both of whom were shot while driving in Lake Cargelligo.

The incident reportedly occurred around 4:30 PM on Bokhara Street, where it is said Ingram targeted them. Following this, he allegedly went to a nearby residence and shot Sophie’s aunt, Nerida Quinn, who is 50 years old.

Additionally, Kaled Macqueen, 19, also sustained gunshot injuries in the driveway of the Walker Street property and has been taken to the hospital in serious yet stable condition.

Ingram is accused of having assaulted Quinn during their relationship. He was granted bail on November 30, 2025, after facing charges of stalking and intimidation aimed at causing fear, as well as common assault.

According to The Sydney Morning Herald, Ingram pleaded not guilty to these charges and was scheduled to appear in court on February 3. His bail conditions required him to report to local police daily and prohibited him from contacting or approaching Quinn within a 100-meter radius.

A spokesperson from the police has confirmed that he had a domestic relationship with one of the victims, and it was noted that Ingram has never held a firearms license.

Law enforcement officials are asking the public to assist in locating Ingram, who remains elusive following this tragic event.

He is described as having Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander heritage, approximately 165 to 170 cm tall, with a medium build, short dark hair, and brown eyes.

The suspect was last seen driving a Ford Ranger ute with NSW plates DM-07-GZ, which has council branding, a metal cargo bed, high-visibility markings on the sides, and a roof-mounted emergency light bar.

In the wake of the shooting, a large-scale police operation has been initiated in the small Australian community, featuring 100 officers on the ground searching for the suspected shooter.

NSW Police Assistant Commissioner Andy Holland has advised local residents in Lake Cargelligo to stay indoors, avoid windows, and report any suspicious activities to the authorities.

"This is an unfortunate incident that has unfolded in a small rural town, and it will significantly impact the community," stated Holland.
