Upon their arrival, a combined team of police officers, soldiers from the Nigerian Army, and vigilantes engaged in a short-lived confrontation with the assailants, firing shots that compelled the attackers to retreat into the adjacent woodlands.

A local informant, choosing to remain anonymous, stated that the synchronized response played a crucial role in staving off a severe security breach.

"The attackers have fled. Currently, there are no reports of any kidnappings. They have been driven out of the community, and security forces are in pursuit of them," the source disclosed.

Residents highlighted that the swift mobilization of security personnel after their alerts was integral in avoiding potential casualties and abductions.

Confirming the situation, a senior officer at the Ifelodun Divisional Police Headquarters in Share praised the collaborative efforts between security forces and community vigilantes for successfully neutralizing the threat.

"The rapid response was vital in preventing what could have turned into another mass kidnapping incident in Oro-Ago," the officer explained, commending the community members for their prompt reporting of suspicious activities, emphasizing that such collaboration is essential for effective security measures.

Although normalcy has returned to the area, law enforcement continues to patrol the surroundings and is actively pursuing the fleeing attackers.
