Seven Sentenced for Theft at Kano Airport

A Magistrate Court in Kano has issued a six-month sentence to seven men, including a defendant named Iliya Nasiru, after concluding they had conspired to commit theft and were found illegally in possession of the stolen items.

The defendants faced charges for their roles in the theft of iron rods from the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport.

During the prosecution's case, it was revealed that the accused were caught in the act while holding the stolen materials.

All seven individuals admitted guilt regarding their charges during the court proceedings.

In her judgment, Magistrate Haula Magaji mandated that the convicts serve a six-month bond, which includes performing community service duties, such as cleaning tasks at the Waziri Shehu Gidado General Hospital.
