As a prominent indigenous energy firm holding a 45 per cent stake in OML 30, one of Nigeria's most significant onshore assets, Shoreline highlighted the critical importance of strong regulatory alignment. The company views this not merely as a matter of compliance but as a fundamental element for responsible and sustainable long-term energy development.
Discussions during the meeting focused on key priorities for the expansion of Nigeria's upstream sector. Both parties explored avenues for accelerating production, reinforcing operational structures, and contributing to the country's overall energy security strategy.
Shoreline reiterated its commitment to adhering strictly to all regulatory requirements, upholding operational excellence, and actively contributing to national energy goals as outlined in the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA).
"We highly value our association with the NUPRC and acknowledge the commission's vital role in cultivating a competitive and well-regulated upstream sector," stated Karim. "Meetings like this affirm our conviction that robust engagement between industry players and regulators is indispensable for unlocking Nigeria's complete energy potential."
The company further affirmed its dedication to working cooperatively within Nigeria's established regulatory framework. The aim is to optimize the production capacity of its assets, generate lasting value for all stakeholders, and make a significant contribution to Nigeria's evolving energy aspirations, both domestically and across the continent.
