Ijoba Lande, a popular figure in Nigeria's skit-making scene, has alleged that he was assaulted by officers from the Area ‘J’ Division of the Lagos State Police Command. According to him, the police not only took his iPhone but also stole $1,200 belonging to his brother.
A video circulating on social media depicts the entertainer with noticeable injuries, including bleeding around his eyes, as bystanders attempted to assist him by splashing water on his face. The footage also places him inside what appears to be a police station, where he seemed to be filing a complaint related to the assault.
Recounting the experience, Ijoba Lande stated that the incident took place just six days after his arrival back in Nigeria from the United Kingdom. However, he did not specify the exact details of where the attack occurred.
He claimed that during the altercation, the police officers physically assaulted him and confiscated his iPhone 16 Pro Max along with taking the cash belonging to his unnamed sibling.
