Glory Agbor, the wife of the suspended Cross River lawmaker Ovat Dickson Agbor, has dismissed claims circulating on social media regarding an incident involving her husband, asserting that the viral video depicting her with visible facial injuries was artificially generated using AI technology.
The Cross River State House of Assembly took action by indefinitely suspending Agbor, who represents the Obubra I State Constituency, amid allegations of physical violence against his wife.
This suspension occurred following accusations that Agbor had physically assaulted Glory.
The contentious video in question portrays Glory as having a swollen face, alongside bruises around her eyes and lips.
However, in a recent video statement, Glory firmly stated that no such incident has taken place.
She indicated that the narratives being shared online are a calculated move aimed at undermining her husband's political standing.
"Nothing like that ever took place. It might be AI-generated, or perhaps there's an attempt to use it to blackmail me and my husband. With elections nearing, they might want to use this against him," she asserted.
"Nothing of that nature occurred," she reiterated. "Look at me; I am unharmed. Do you see any marks on my face? There was no incident like that at all."
