Teebillz, a prominent talent manager, has voiced his thoughts on the recent Grammy Awards discussions, asserting that Nigerians showcased significant influence in Los Angeles, even without receiving any accolades.
He pointed out that during the Grammy weekend, Nigerians contributed to the local economy through various means such as hotel stays, dining at restaurants, private jet parking, luxury transport services, stylists, and shopping.
Teebillz reminded those criticizing the Grammys that the awards are managed by a private entity, asserting that nominations and wins are not determined by fan engagement or social media trends.
"A Grammy win simply indicates that a panel of individuals believed a particular piece of work deserved the recognition," he explained.
He also mentioned that while celebrating successes is important, criticism should be welcomed, emphasizing that both views can exist together without animosity.
