A businessman located in Domboshava, Zimbabwe, has become the focal point of a domestic strife and legal proceedings after his fourth wife reportedly stabbed him during a heated disagreement over alleged betrayal.

Judith Maruta, aged 33, was held in custody for a fortnight following the altercation with her husband, Kefas Mushore, who is 50 years old. This incident has not only resulted in clashes at home but has also transformed into a court case over spousal support and a claim for damages that could reach $50,000.

Maruta indicated that the confrontation was sparked by her discovering her husband's supposed affairs with her cousin, Tabeth Banda, as well as a married friend.

"I could not bear the thought of my husband being intimate with both my sister and a married friend," she declared, pointing out cultural practices in Zimbabwe where cousins are often seen as siblings.

She recounted that the situation escalated into a physical conflict, which culminated in her stabbing Mushore in the leg. "I could not bear the thought of my husband being intimate with both my sister and a married friend," she reiterated.

Following the incident, she received a fine and was mandated to pay for the damages. Nonetheless, Mushore later secured a protection order and is now pursuing substantial compensation, alleging that the stabbing has hindered his ability to walk.

Banda confirmed the affair, revealing that Mushore had been providing her with financial assistance secretly. "Mushore was giving me money without my sister's knowledge, and I felt I couldn't refuse his help," she explained.

She also mentioned that she refrained from revealing his romantic intentions to her sister, fearing it would lead to further issues. "When my sister confronted me about it, I admitted to being in a relationship with her husband," she added.

As the matter approaches court under a magistrate in Domboshava, Maruta is also pushing for enhanced financial support for their two children. "I regret entering into a polygamous marriage; it has left me stripped of my belongings, including two houses and a vehicle," she lamented.

She characterized her current plight as "miserable," attributing her situation to the dissolution of her marriage and the ensuing predicament.
