Terfa Tilley-Gyado has taken the helm at The Temple Company, stepping into the role of Group Chief Executive Officer following the departure of its founder, Idris Olorunnimbe.

Mr. Tilley-Gyado, a former journalist, satirist, screenwriter, and media strategist, has held various creative positions within The Temple Company.

The leadership change, announced on Thursday, coincides with the company's decade-long journey and signals a strategic move towards its next growth phase. This transition is prompted by Mr. Olorunnimbe's new position as Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission, a role appointed by President Bola Tinubu, which necessitates his withdrawal from active company management.

The company has stated that Mr. Olorunnimbe will now dedicate his efforts to his public service duties alongside other interests in advisory and investment roles across diverse sectors.

Describing its function, The Temple Company manages the day-to-day business operations for creative talents, aiming to ensure they maintain a competitive edge through a comprehensive talent management strategy.

In his new capacity as President of the group, Mr. Tilley-Gyado, formerly the Executive Director, will steer the company's operations and strategic direction across its various business units.

Commenting on his new role, Mr. Tilley-Gyado expressed his commitment to building upon the company's established foundation and expanding its influence within the creative sector. "We commend our visionary founder for laying the building blocks that will help me and my team propel this organisation to the next level. Our partners can be assured of a renewed commitment to push the boundaries of African excellence through the creative industry," he stated.

He further assured stakeholders of the company's dedication to achieving new heights.

Under Mr. Olorunnimbe's tenure, The Temple Company grew from a talent management firm established in 2016 into a diversified creative entity with a significant reach beyond Nigeria. This expansion led to the development of notable ventures like Ogidi Studios, TMPL Motion Pictures, and H&T; Agency.

As part of this restructuring, the company has promoted several executives to senior management positions. Yemisi Falaye is now Vice President, Legal and Learning; Kolawole Fashola is Vice President, Operations and Tech; Femi Salawu is Vice President, Influence and Reputation; Adedamilola Adedotun is Vice President, Ventures and Sports; and Oladoyin Bakare is Vice President, People and Partnerships.
