He emphasized that his administration will seek ways to enhance the capacity of the security forces to overcome terrorism and address banditry, promising, "This is an issue that has caused us all sleepless nights, but I assure you that we will prevail through resolve and tenacity."

Furthermore, the President expressed optimism that the conference's outcomes will encompass agricultural investments, ranching, and the diversification of crops, initiatives designed to mitigate insecurity, denouncing banditry and terrorism as alien to Nigerian traditions and "intolerable."

Additionally, he acknowledged the valuable contributions of Vice President Kashim Shettima, who has guided the council in intellectual discussions over the past three years, along with states' governors, particularly those from Borno, Kaduna, and Katsina, for their roles in safeguarding the nation's freedom and welfare.

This conference, organized by the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Atiku Bagudu, centers on the theme "Delivering Inclusive Growth and Sustainable Development: The Renewed Hope National Development Plan."
