During a recent one-day official visit to Adamawa State, President Bola Tinubu reassured Nigerians of his commitment to continuing economic reforms, emphasizing the importance of inclusive growth and empowerment for shared prosperity across the nation.
The President made this statement on Monday in Yola while inaugurating significant projects completed by the Adamawa State government. He praised Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for what he termed impactful and economically beneficial initiatives.
Tinubu noted that the reforms undertaken by his administration are producing positive outcomes, which are reflected in increased financial allocations to states, enabling local governments to carry out critical infrastructure and social development projects.
"This is the result of our collaborative efforts, and we will see more macroeconomic achievements. We are making substantial investments in agriculture and human capital development, which is essential for our self- sufficiency in food production," he stated.
The President highlighted the strengthening partnership between the federal and state governments, which he believes has enhanced development across the country.
He lauded Fintiri for directing financial resources towards projects that directly contribute to improving citizens' lives, especially in areas such as road upgrades and education.
"Your efforts demonstrate the genuine dedication of a government serving its people. I have observed remarkable progress and commitment in your investments aimed at educating our youth," Tinubu remarked.
The projects inaugurated included a newly constructed eight-lane road with an underpass designed to enhance mobility and stimulate trade, a renovated High Court complex aimed at reinforcing the justice system, and a model school focused on enhancing access to quality education.
The President urged state leaders to intensify their endeavors to alleviate poverty by prioritizing education and youth empowerment initiatives.
Additionally, Tinubu expressed his gratitude to traditional and religious leaders for promoting peace and unity during times of economic and political transitions.
He specifically commended National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, referring to him as a dedicated and truthful individual.
"National Security Adviser, Nuhudeen Ribadu, you are performing excellently, and we are witnessing the improvements. With your efforts, we will overcome the threats posed by bandits and terrorists," Tinubu declared.
