A fire incident occurred on Monday morning at the Federal Secretariat complex in Abuja, triggering a moment of panic among workers and visitors.
The blaze was detected around 8:20 a.m. in Section C of the complex, which is home to the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation.
Eye witnesses reported seeing thick black smoke billowing from the affected section soon after the fire started.
Several personnel were seen evacuating nearby offices as a precaution, and emergency responders were called to the scene to address the situation.
The media unit of the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation confirmed the incident, indicating that the fire was contained within Section C of the building.
According to the office, emergency personnel were actively working to control the situation and to prevent the fire from spreading to other areas of the complex.
In a short statement, the office noted, "The fire outbreak is limited to Section C of the building and is currently being attended to by emergency officials."
