The US Embassy in Bahrain has raised alarms about potential attacks by 'terrorist groups' against American citizens within the Gulf nation.
Officials have cautioned Americans residing in or visiting the country to steer clear of hotels in the capital, Manama, as they may be targeted.
In their advisory, they stated: 'Bahrain: The U.S. Embassy urges U.S. citizens to practice caution and stay vigilant. Drone and missile assaults from Iran are ongoing. The U.S. Embassy has alerted American nationals in Bahrain that hotels could become targets, advising them to avoid those in Manama. Various terrorist groups and their sympathizers are determined to harm U.S. citizens abroad. These groups are actively planning possible attacks in Bahrain and may strike with little or no forewarning.'
Tensions in the Middle East have intensified further following the assassination of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
In response to U.S. President Donald Trump's ultimatum concerning its weapons, the Iranian government has firmly declared that it will never capitulate, perpetuating the ongoing strife.
