Senator Hope Uzodimma, currently the Governor of Imo State and the Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum, has been appointed to lead the Central Coordination Committee for the All Progressives Congress (APC)'s upcoming 2026 National Convention.
Uzodimma will head a 73-member committee formed by the APC's National Working Committee (NWC) as part of the preliminary arrangements for the national convention.
The party has also announced that AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the Governor of Kwara State, will take on the role of Vice Chairman for this committee.
"Senator Hope Uzodimma, the Governor of Imo State and Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum, is the appointed Chairman of the 73-member Central Coordination Committee for the 2026 APC National Convention," stated the party in its announcement.
Additionally, the Secretary position will be held by Mai Mala Buni, the Governor of Yobe State.
"The Vice Chairman will be His Excellency, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, Governor of Kwara State and Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, whereas His Excellency, Mai Mala Buni, Governor of Yobe State, has been appointed Secretary of the Committee," added the statement.
The APC emphasized that the establishment of this committee signifies an important milestone in its early preparations for the forthcoming national convention in 2026.
