Keamogetse Comfort Mashapa, a woman from South Africa, has recounted an unusual strategy she employed to manage her boyfriend's behavior after he began going out every weekend and leaving her alone.
Frustrated after countless complaints, she resolved to 'solve the issue' by planting the idea in his mind that she had poisoned his food.
In a recent Facebook post, she described their relationship as enjoyable until her boyfriend started frequenting parties and neglecting her: "Our relationship was soft life vibes, love, peace, happiness... until this man started going to groove every weekend and leaving me alone like I’m part of the furniture."
One Sunday, upon his return home, seemingly cheerful and inebriated, she decided it was time to take action. She prepared a special Sunday meal and set the table nicely, creating an inviting atmosphere for him, unaware of the lesson awaiting him.
Mashapa took a used Coke bottle, labeled it with a phrase indicating poison, and positioned it strategically near the sink, knowing he would notice it after finishing his meal.
As he ate, she watched him intently, which prompted him to question her gaze. She responded calmly to his inquiries, urging him to enjoy his meal without revealing her plan.
Just as he was about to take his final bite, she sarcastically remarked, "This is the last day I complain about you... finally, I will rest... while you rest in peace." He hesitated, sensing the ominous undertone yet continued to eat, albeit with trepidation.
After he concluded his meal, as he stood to clear the plates, they clattered to the floor. Shocked, he exclaimed, "Babe, do you want to kill me?" He then dashed to the bathroom, violently vomiting as if compelled by some ancestral force.
Since that day, his behavior changed drastically: he no longer goes out to party, returns home promptly, and is more considerate in the relationship. Mashapa concluded her story by emphasizing the importance of effective communication in relationships: "Sometimes communication is important... but sometimes... you must speak a language they understand."
