A woman named Onyinyechi Uchanma has reportedly been murdered by suspected 'one chance' criminals in Port Harcourt, located in Rivers State.
The incident occurred on the evening of Monday, March 2, 2026, as she was attacked by the assailants.
Details surrounding the event remain limited at this time.
A close friend and former colleague, Peace Cynthia Abah, confirmed the heartbreaking news via a Facebook post on Wednesday, stating that she had recently spoken to Onyinyechi.
"Last Friday, we discussed our aspirations and shared insights on what it takes to be a resilient woman," Abah wrote.
She continued, "You’re single-handedly raising two children, and I was truly impressed! You had submitted your CV to our office in Transamadi, and I assured you that I would discuss your application with HR and the regional manager.
"You were a go-getter and a strong woman, just like me! We had plans for you to join me at Citizens Pension, similar to the way we transitioned from Sterling Bank to UBA, where we could pursue our dreams together.
"I was in disbelief when Jessica called to inform me about the tragedy of the 'one chance' incident where you entered their vehicle and lost your life at the hands of a bloodthirsty criminal in Port Harcourt.
"Your passing leaves me heartbroken. What will become of the dreams we were brainstorming last Friday?
"What about your two lovely children, whom you've worked so hard to nurture and support? You were set to achieve remarkable feats and become a strong regional manager.
"I will always remember you, my friend with a golden heart. You were among the best things that happened in my life. Rest in peace, my beautiful friend."
