A political organization of women in Yola has demanded that Ahmed Aminu Galadima, the Executive Secretary of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF), resign from his position to pursue a governorship bid in Adamawa State.
The Galadima Women Support Group (GWSG) articulated their request during a convention held in Yola, the capital of Adamawa State, emphasizing that their initiative is motivated by a sense of patriotism and the desire for state improvement.
At the gathering, the Zonal Coordinator of GWSG, Mrs. Paulina Kaigama, explained that Galadima's impressive record of accomplishments, integrity, experience, and capabilities served as the basis for the group's support for his candidacy in the interest of the state.
Further remarks were made by the state Coordinator of GWSG, Hajiya Mariya Adamu Nyako, who announced that over N120 million has been raised to cover the costs associated with the nomination and intent forms for Ahmed Galadima from the All Progressives Congress (APC). Additionally, the group plans to rally three million votes for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu in the state.
Responding to the call, Hajiya Sa’adatu Galadima, wife of the PTDF Executive Secretary, expressed gratitude to the women of Adamawa for their encouragement of her husband to run for the position. She highlighted that her husband is aware of the challenges confronting the residents and is committed to tackling these issues if he is afforded the opportunity to serve as Governor in the forthcoming 2027 General Elections.
