The government of Zamfara State has initiated a thorough inspection of schools across the 14 local government areas in order to evaluate their infrastructure and enhance the learning environment.
Abdulmalik Abubakar Gajam, the Commissioner for Education, launched the initiative in Gusau, where he began by assessing both primary and secondary schools located within the city.
During his visits, Gajam examined classrooms, sanitation facilities, the availability of teaching materials, and the overall educational environment.
He interacted with school administrators, educators, and students to identify critical areas needing government attention, particularly in terms of infrastructure development, teacher assistance, and promoting inclusive education.
Gajam reassured stakeholders that the administration is dedicated to restoring high standards within the educational sector, emphasizing that the insights gained from this inspection will inform both immediate actions and long-term policy strategies.
He further mentioned that the inspection initiative will continue throughout all local government areas to ensure that schools adhere to acceptable standards and provide a safe, inclusive setting for effective learning.
