The Ekiti State Police Command has taken 27-year-old Oloyede Oluwaseyi to a Chief Magistrate Court located in Ado-Ekiti for allegedly inappropriately touching a woman, referred to as Oluwabusayo, without her consent.
According to the prosecutor, ASP Akinwale Oriyomi, the incident occurred on or around February 1, 2026, in Ikere-Ekiti, where the accused reportedly touched the victim inappropriately without her consent.
ASP Oriyomi emphasized that the alleged offense is against Section 269(1) of the Criminal Law of Ekiti State, enacted in 2021, and is punishable by law.
In response, Barrister Joy Egunson, who represented the defendant, requested the court grant her client bail, assuring that he would comply with the court's conditions and not abscond.
Agreeing to the plea, Chief Magistrate Mr. Abayomi Adeosun approved bail for the defendant, setting the amount at N100,000, to be secured by two sureties, each also in the same amount.
The court has adjourned the proceedings to March 10 for further hearing.
