Following the departure of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) executive committee in Adamawa State, an interim caretaker committee consisting of twelve members has been established to manage the affairs of the party in the state.
Engr. Belmont Dogo, the chairman of the caretaker committee, revealed this development during a press briefing held in Yola on Tuesday. He emphasized that the recent resignations from the former state executive prompted the formation of this interim committee that he leads.
"As you all know, the recent resignations from the State Executive Committee led to a leadership vacuum at the state level. The National Working Committee of our esteemed party, the People’s Democratic Party, recognized the critical need to address this situation and, therefore, deemed it essential to appoint a caretaker committee," Dogo stated.
The appointed committee includes Engr. Belmont Dogo as Chairman and Alhaji Yerima Shekarau as Secretary. Other members consist of Musa Kanimare, Aminu Hammadama, Suzan Mark Zira, Jibrila Manga, Mary T. Javan, Salihu W. Buba, John Musa, Philip Kenan, Paul Mauni, and Barr. John Tunoh.
Dogo highlighted that the newly formed caretaker committee would actively work to restore stability and leadership within the party during this transitional period.
