The Adamawa State Government has established a State Technical Committee dedicated to rehabilitation and reintegration, signalling a renewed commitment to fostering peace and social recovery across the region.
The committee's formation is a collaborative effort spearheaded by the Ministry for Reconstruction, Rehabilitation, Reintegration and Humanitarian Services (MRRR&HS) in partnership with the International Organization for Migration (IOM).
The inauguration ceremony was presided over by the Commissioner for the ministry, Hon. Bello Hamman Diram, who was represented at the event by the Permanent Secretary, Pharmacist Amos Enoch Piribu.
Key stakeholders, including government officials, representatives from development partners, members of civil society organizations, and delegates from various security agencies, were in attendance for the inauguration.
This committee is expected to play a crucial role in coordinating and implementing strategies aimed at supporting individuals and communities affected by various challenges, thereby contributing to a more stable and resilient Adamawa State.
