APC Leader Advocates for Wike as Director-General for Tinubu's 2027 Campaign

Princewill Dike, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, has called on President Bola Tinubu to appoint Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), as the Director-General of his 2027 Presidential Campaign Council (PCC).

Dike, who is also a legal practitioner based in Port Harcourt, expressed his belief that Wike possesses the political skills necessary to secure Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.

He remarked that the former governor of Rivers State has showcased effective political understanding and influence that could play a crucial role in rallying support on a national scale.

"I have previously stated that if the political dynamo from Rivers State, Wike, takes on the role of the President's re-election campaign DG, his adversaries would face significant challenges," Dike said.

He emphasized that Wike's vast political network and ability to mobilize resources could greatly enhance campaign efforts throughout the country.

"He has an expansive political network across the nation. He knows how to secure campaign financing without imposing a strain on the President and is capable of putting in the hard work necessary to achieve success," he added.

Dike also noted that Wike enjoys substantial backing, especially among young voters, and has consistently shown strength in prior electoral contests.

He pointed to Wike's instrumental role in previous electoral successes in Rivers State, highlighting the 2023 general elections where Wike secured significant victories despite facing political opposition.

Dike concluded that naming Wike as the PCC Director-General would bolster Tinubu's prospects in the upcoming 2027 elections.
