Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has conveyed Easter wishes to Christians in Bauchi State and throughout Nigeria as they observe Good Friday and Easter. He has called upon all citizens to adopt the fundamental principles associated with Easter: love, sacrifice, forgiveness, and the promotion of peaceful coexistence.
In his message of goodwill, the Governor offered congratulations to Christian faithful on the successful conclusion of the Lenten period. He characterized Easter, which commemorates the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ, as a potent symbol of hope, spiritual renewal, and divine love for all humankind.
The Governor's message, released by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mukhtar Gidado, urged residents to contemplate their spiritual connection with God and their relationships with fellow individuals. He underscored the critical need for unity that transcends ethnic, religious, and political divides.
Mohammed acknowledged the prevailing socio-economic and security challenges confronting the nation, including the global economic strains and the escalation of energy prices linked to international conflicts. Nevertheless, he assured the populace of his administration's dedication to safeguarding lives and properties while simultaneously working to enhance the quality of life within the state.
The Governor reiterated his government's commitment to fostering enduring peace, building national resilience, and implementing strategic policies in cooperation with the Federal Government. These initiatives aim to alleviate difficulties and cultivate economic stability.
