Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State welcomed a delegation from the Greece- based non-governmental organization, Heart Doctors, for Iftar at his residence on Wednesday.

Joining him for the occasion were his wife, Mrs. Aisha Bala Mohammed, members of the State Executive Council, senior officials, and other attendees.

The governor praised Heart Doctors for their significant contributions to healthcare and humanitarian initiatives in Bauchi State and beyond. He expressed his deep gratitude for their ongoing interventions and reiterated his administration’s commitment to fostering collaborations aimed at enhancing public health and improving the welfare of the population.

The visiting team, led by Mrs. Helen, expressed their appreciation to Governor Mohammed for the warm hospitality and the honor of being invited to the Iftar, calling it a remarkable gesture. She also voiced thanks for the acknowledgment of their humanitarian efforts in the state.

Earlier that day, the delegation had a courtesy meeting with the governor at the Government House in Bauchi. They are in the state in collaboration with Hellenic Aid, on a mission focused on supporting vulnerable communities.

In a post on his X handle, Governor Mohammed indicated that during their discussions, the delegation updated him on their current projects, shared details about interventions that have been completed, and outlined plans to expand their assistance in areas of urgent need.

The governor further noted, "I recognized the organization for its compassion and commitment, emphasizing the crucial role that international development partners hold in strengthening healthcare systems and promoting social initiatives within our state. I assured them that my administration will continuously back credible organizations dedicated to enhancing the livelihoods of our citizens."
