Baptist Boys’ High School (BBHS), located in Abeokuta and renowned as one of Nigeria’s premier secondary education institutions, has announced its agenda for the upcoming 103rd Founders’ Day Anniversary, which is slated for January 23 and 24.
This announcement is a follow-up to the resolutions made during the National Executive Council (NEC) meeting of the Baptist Boys’ High School Abeokuta Old Boys’ Association, held on January 3, 2026.
The NEC has once again extended an invitation to former students globally, encouraging them to return and take part in the anniversary festivities.
Activities will kick off with a presidential luncheon on January 22 at the Banquet Hall of Conference Hotel, Abeokuta, with distinguished former Lagos State governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola, serving as the guest speaker. The main events will commence on January 23 with the Agora/Variety Night — an informal gathering aimed at fostering connections among alumni.
This evening affair will take place at the Agora Grounds within the school, starting at 4:00 p.m., where each affiliate and class will be allocated a complimentary table for ten. Attendees will have opportunities to purchase food and are encouraged to bring their own beverages and light refreshments to enrich the atmosphere of the gathering; the dress code for the night is casual.
The central anniversary happenings are scheduled for January 24, with participants expected to don white outfits and school caps. The day will commence with an Anniversary Thanksgiving Service from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., which will be followed by the National Congress from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. The celebrations will culminate in an anniversary luncheon, during which the Distinguished Old Boy of the Year 2025 Award and Merit Awards will be presented, along with inductions into the BBHS Wall of Fame for 2026.
