Guinea-Bissau international Beto netted a brace and contributed an assist, propelling Everton to a commanding 3-0 win against Chelsea in their Premier League encounter on Saturday.

The Portuguese-born forward, who has expressed contentment at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, delivered a standout performance. He proved too strong for Chelsea's defence and capitalised on mistakes by goalkeeper Robert Sánchez, as Everton decisively outplayed a struggling Chelsea team.

Beto broke the deadlock in the 33rd minute, converting a precise through ball from James Garner with a first-time shot, giving Everton a deserved lead at halftime.

Everton's Beto celebrates scoring a goal against Chelsea.

He extended the lead in the 62nd minute with a turn-and-shoot effort that found its way past Sánchez, marking a difficult outing for the goalkeeper.

This double strike made Beto the first Everton player to score multiple goals in a single match this season.

Iliman Ndiaye then added a spectacular third goal, curling a brilliant shot into the top corner from the edge of the penalty area, sealing Everton's most significant victory over Chelsea since 1987 and securing consecutive wins at their new ground.

The loss represents Chelsea's fourth consecutive defeat across all competitions, their longest such streak since 1993. With only one victory in their last six league fixtures, the Blues remain in sixth place with 48 points from 31 matches.

Meanwhile, Everton's recent form has seen them narrow the gap, now trailing Chelsea by just two points as they continue their push for a potential European qualification spot.
