In response, Lydia Oluwakemi-Oyewo, representing Ganduje, his wife, and son, stated they are also prepared to advance their motion regarding a stay of proceedings, filed in July 2025.
Counsel for the third and seventh defendants, Adekunle Taiye-Falola, indicated that they submitted a motion on notice dated May 23, 2025, and are ready to present it at the court's convenience.
Moreover, Abubakar Ahmad, counsel for the sixth defendant, reported that they had filed a notice of preliminary objection along with a request for an extension of time to address legal points, dated February 2, 2026, and thus requested an adjournment because the application is not yet ready for consideration.
After listening to all parties involved, Justice Amina Adamu-Aliyu adjourned the case until April 15, 2026, for the consideration of preliminary objections and pending applications.
