Governor Dauda Lawal has reaffirmed his administration's pledge to showcase tangible development and rebuild faith in governance in Zamfara State.
This statement was made as he accepted the LEADERSHIP Governor of the Year Award on Thursday.
The ceremony took place at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja.
Dr. Amina Mohammed, the Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations, delivered the keynote address at the event, discussing this year's theme: "Political Stability and Sustainable Development in Africa amid an Increasingly Unstable Global System: A Roadmap for Nigeria."
The recognition from LEADERSHIP Newspaper as Governor of the Year for Dauda Lawal highlights his administration's accomplishments across various sectors in Zamfara State.
The newspaper acknowledged Governor Lawal's exemplary performance, bold leadership, and transformative programs that have set Zamfara on a revitalized course of progression, peace, and sustainable development.
The award is rooted in a foundation of excellence that led LEADERSHIP Newspaper to identify the governor as being exceptionally qualified for this prestigious national accolade.
Last month, Governor Lawal's impressive achievements also earned him the title of Governor of the Year from The Sun Newspaper, alongside Zamfara State being recognized as the leading state in the Northwest for the Primary Health Care Challenge.
According to a statement from the governor's spokesperson, such accolades will motivate the Zamfara State government to further enhance the state's security framework, promote agricultural development and rural growth, expand infrastructure, improve healthcare services, enhance education, and bolster human capital development throughout the state.
