DIG Frank Mba Retires from Nigeria Police After 34 Years of Service

Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Frank Mba, has officially retired from the Nigeria Police Force after dedicating 34 years to his service. His departure follows the recent retirement of former IGP Kayode Egbetokun and the appointment of IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu.

Frank Mba, who served as the Deputy Inspector-General of Police overseeing Training and Development at the Force Headquarters, has voluntarily stepped down from his role in the Nigeria Police Force following an impressive 34-year tenure.

Mba’s resignation coincides with the retirements of other senior officers, which includes the recent exit of former Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, and the subsequent appointment of IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu as the new head of the police force.

Joining the Nigeria Police Force as a cadet officer in May 1992, DIG Mba made a mark early in his career by graduating at the top of his class from the Nigeria Police Academy in Kano. He also held important positions, serving as the Force Public Relations Officer and spokesman for the Lagos State Police Command.

In his farewell remarks, Mba expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for providing him the opportunity to serve during this administration.

He stated, "I am deeply grateful to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the privilege of serving our great nation during his administration. The confidence and support granted to the Nigeria Police leadership during this time have been invaluable. It has been a tremendous honor to contribute to the security and stability of our country."

Additionally, he expressed gratitude to the Nigerian populace for their unwavering support throughout his service years.
